About Sarah

At Putting You First, I offer a warm, confidential space for Counselling and therapy.

I provide face-to-face Counselling and Therapy sessions in Newbury, Thatcham, and surrounding areas. For those who prefer flexibility, I also offer online therapy. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, or overwhelming emotions, therapy can help. It can be hard to open up to family or friends, or you might feel like a burden. My goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

As a Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I use a personalised approach to counselling and therapy. This means I draw on various therapeutic methods to find the best fit for you. I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy, which focuses on you as the central part of the process. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide practical, solution-focused strategies. Additionally, Psychodynamic Therapy helps explore how your past experiences influence your present behaviors and emotions.

I specialise in helping people cope with bereavement, including those affected by cancer or the loss of a loved one. I also have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, children, and families, providing tailored support for unique challenges.

Taking the first step into counselling and therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to face it alone. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about what comes next, I’d love to connect with you. Together, we can work through your challenges and find a path forward with more clarity and confidence.
